Kumovi Sunday Celebration – March 23
We joyfully invite you to join us for our annual Kumovi Sunday celebration on the third Sunday of Lent, March 23! This special day honors the spiritual bond between kumovi—godparents, godchildren, and their families—who play a vital role in our Orthodox Christian journey.
The day will begin with the Divine Liturgy at [insert time], where kumovi are encouraged to attend and receive Holy Communion together, strengthening their commitment to one another and to Christ. After the service, we will gather for a festive luncheon in the parish hall, offering a wonderful opportunity for kumovi to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate their unique relationship.
Kumovi Sunday is a cherished tradition in our church. It serves as a reminder of the spiritual family we form through the sacraments. Whether you’re a godparent, godchild, or simply a member of our parish family, we invite you to participate in this significant celebration!
Mark your calendars and join us for this blessed occasion!
For more information or to RSVP for the luncheon, please contact the church office at 219-322-3355.
