St. George Youth Group: Growing Together in Faith

Last night, the St. George Youth Group met for another inspiring evening of fellowship, faith, and conversation. This month, we were graciously welcomed into the home of Gojko and Draga Cucuz, who kindly hosted our gathering. Their warm hospitality created the perfect atmosphere for meaningful discussions and spiritual growth.

Our youth group meets once a month, allowing young people to come together in a supportive, faith-filled environment. Beyond mere social events, these gatherings offer opportunities for reflection, learning, and encouragement. A key aspect of our time together is the opportunity to converse with our spiritual father, Fr. Radovan, who shares wisdom and guidance rooted in the Orthodox Christian faith.

During the meeting, we discussed the challenges of high school and daily life, sharing personal experiences and seeking guidance on navigating these formative years as Orthodox Christians. The conversations covered the struggles of maintaining faith in a fast-paced world, the importance of prayer and fasting, and even relationships, including dating from an Orthodox perspective. Open and honest discussions reminded us that we are never alone in our journey—our faith, Church, and community are always here to support us.

We are grateful for another evening of fellowship and look forward to our next gathering. May God continue to bless our youth group and strengthen our faith as we grow together in Christ!
