What a wonderful day at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Schererville!
Our 8th Annual Kettle Cook-Off was a tremendous success, bringing together parishioners, families, friends, and guests for an afternoon of delicious food, fellowship, laughter, and community spirit.
More than 20 kettles and cooking teams participated this year, each bringing their own recipes, traditions, and special touch to this much-loved parish event. There was something for everyone to enjoy, and it was wonderful to see so many people gathered around the kettles, sharing food and enjoying one another’s company.
Most importantly, all proceeds from this year’s Kettle Cook-Off will benefit our Church School and Religious Education ministries, helping us continue our mission to nurture our children’s and youth’s faith and Orthodox Christian life.
A Heartfelt Thank You!
An event like this would not be possible without the generosity and hard work of so many people.
Many thanks to all our volunteers, organizers, cooks, bakers, servers, helpers, and everyone who contributed their time, talent, and energy to make the day such a success. We deeply appreciate your dedication and willingness to serve our parish community.
We are especially grateful to everyone who participated, attended, supported the event, and helped create such a joyful atmosphere at St. George.
The Kettle Cook-Off has become a wonderful parish tradition—one that brings together good food and something even more important: fellowship, generosity, and support for our children and the future of our Church.
We look forward to gathering again next year!
