Education Board
Mission Philosophy
The Education Board of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church is designed to enhance and support overall educational programs on the level of our local parish. The goal of the Education Board is to strengthen the existing parish-educational activities and to introduce and expand new learning methods and events focusing on the spiritual formation of parishioners of all ages.
The Church School Director
The Church School Director presides over meetings of the Board of Education. The Director is also responsible for overseeing, evaluating, and conducting the parish educational efforts at the parish level. Additionally, the Director defines a vision, educational goals, and action plans for a total religious education program at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. The Director recruits, trains, evaluates, and supervises all coordinators, catechists, and volunteers needed for specific educational programs and activities.
Middle School Class
Purpose
The primary purpose of the Education Board is to develop, execute, and oversee educational programs and learning venues on the level of the local parish. Furthermore, it is envisioned to assist and teach our parishioners about the basic precepts of the Orthodox faith. This learning experience will enable them to further their knowledge concerning religious beliefs and traditions of the Orthodox Christian faith.
