Krsna Slava of the Circle of Serbian Sisters at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church

The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Schererville, Indiana, is thrilled to announce the celebration of its Krsna Slava in honor of the Nativity of the Holy Theotokos Feast, on Sunday, September 24, 2023. This cherished event promises a day filled with spiritual devotion, remembrance, fellowship, and festivities, inviting everyone to join in the celebration.

 

The day’s schedule includes:

 

Divine Liturgy: The celebration will commence with the Divine Liturgy, a sacred and essential part of the Krsna Slava festivities, beginning at 10:00 AM. It is a time for prayer, reflection, and unity within the congregation.

 

Memorial Service (Parastos): Following the Divine Liturgy, a particular memorial service (parastos) will be held, dedicated to remembering and honoring all deceased sisters who were part of the Circle of Serbian Sisters.

 

Festive Luncheon and Celebration: The day’s events will culminate in a joyous luncheon and celebration at the Halls of St. George, starting at 12:30 PM. This is a time for fellowship and sharing in the spirit of togetherness.

The Circle of Serbian Sisters plays a vital role in supporting numerous ministries of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, and this celebration marks an opportunity to acknowledge their dedication and contributions. Their unwavering commitment to the church and community has had a significant impact, and this Krsna Slava is a chance to celebrate their continued service.
