Nativity of the Holy Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Monastery Celebrates Church Slava with Distinguished Guests

New Carlisle, Indiana – The Nativity of the Holy Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Monastery is thrilled to announce the celebration of its Church Slava on Thursday, September 21st, 2023. This joyous occasion will feature the participation of His Grace Bishop Longin and His Grace Bishop Peter of the Russian Orthodox Church, who will lead the Divine Liturgy alongside numerous clergy members from local church communities.

The event’s highlight will be the veneration of the Holy and Miraculous Icon of the Theotokos, famously known as “The Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God of the Sign.” This sacred icon holds immense spiritual significance and is a treasured relic within the Orthodox faith.

The Abbess Mother Makrina and her devoted sisters extend a heartfelt invitation to all faithful members of the Orthodox Churches to join them on this auspicious day. The monastery welcomes the support and presence of the Orthodox community and kindly requests monetary donations to aid in sustaining the monastery and its sisters.
