Fifth Annual Kettle Cook-Off/Kotlicijada
This years Fifth Annual Kettle Cook-Off had an amazing turnout! Everyone was excited for the return of this event. Five years ago, this was started as a way to bring the community together and to dive back into the traditional sense of making food. After a brief break, due to COVID-19, this was brought back again last year! It was an exciting event to host and the attendance was more than expected.
The rainy day didn’t stop these thrilled chefs! It was a day filled with tasty Serbian cuisine, family-friendly activities, and a heartwarming sense of togetherness. Local culinary talents were showcased with the various dishes prepared and there were smiles all around! From savory goulash to hearty beef stew, paprika pork stew, fish soup, veal soup, and more, this is a culinary journey!
We had the honor of a special visit from Bishop Longin, who served liturgy that morning and who attended the Cook-Off. We were also honored to welcome our local priests and other members of the clergy!
We hope to see everyone back again next year for an even bigger turnout!
